Porter family letters are primarily written to Rev. Huntington Porter of Rye, N.H. from his siblings and children. The letters discuss family matters, deaths, schooling, and other personal news. Among the many family members corresponding are his brother Eliphalet, son Nathaniel S., daughter Caroline, son William, and son Emery M. Porter. Also included are letters between Huntington's son Oliver and his wife Aurora while she was away as a hydrotherapy patient at the Waterford Water-cure Establishment in Waterford, Maine.
